Have Your Say – on the proposed expansion of the Chelmer Valley Park and Ride
The public consultation on the proposed 500-space expansion of the Chelmer Valley Park and Ride scheme, planned as part of Essex County Council Army and Navy Sustainable Transport Package, closes on Sunday 12 March 2023.
Under the proposals, the expansion would be made to the east and slightly to the north of the existing Chelmer Valley Park and Ride site, which is located off the A130 Essex Regiment Way.
Park and Ride passenger numbers are growing again following the COVID-19 pandemic and there is significant growth planned in the north Chelmsford area and the Braintree district, which means there is forecast to be an increase in future such demand. Park and Ride helps manage the number of cars on the city’s roads, reducing congestion and improving air quality.
