Skills Minister Anne Milton MP was in Essex this week with Chelmsford MP Vicky Ford. She was given a tour of Chelmsford’s Teledyne e2v site by apprentices.
Teledyne e2v has recently been awarded a national prize for training apprentices and during the tour they met apprentices in Engineering, Electronics and Financial Management and they also heard from employees who had graduated from the apprenticeships programme.
Mrs Ford said: “Our new Skills Minister wanted to see the best practice in Britain for apprenticeships and I am very pleased that she chose to visit e2v in Chelmsford. E2v runs an outstanding apprenticeship programme and I was very impressed to hear from the apprentices about the world class skills being taught here in Chelmsford and how much the apprentices enjoyed working for e2v.”
