I receive a lot of questions from commuters about railway services. As a commuter myself I understand that the current service is often simply not good enough and that changes are needed. The good news is that there are a number of improvements in the pipeline including new trains and rolling stock as well as plans for a second station.
I have organised a public meeting to give Chelmsford commuters the chance to quiz railway bosses. Representatives from Greater Anglia, Network Rail, Chelmsford City Council, and Essex County Council will all attend.
The date of the meeting is ‪Thursday the 31st of May 2018 from 6pm-8pm. It will be held at the Civic Centre, as this is close to the train station. Anyone who wants to attend is being asked to register in advance online at https://goo.gl/N27PnP
I hope this meeting will give rail users a real chance to have their voices heard and to help deliver an improved service for all.
