Thank you to the bouncers, staff and managers of Chelmsford’s bars and clubs for showing me round last night. Great to see people enjoying an evening out. Many of our bars and clubs have worked so hard to welcome back customers in a covid secure way.
In my tour of the clubs I learnt that the bar staff at Be At One Chelmsford go to a special cocktail school in London to train, there’s a super atmosphere under the new retractable roof at The Courtyard Baddow Rd and a welcoming new manager at Slug and Lettuce Chelmsford. Who wouldn’t want to be “Beyond Beautiful” at Bar & Beyond Chelmsford?
The bars and clubs in Chelmsford work together to help keep the City Centre safe at night, including supporting the SoS Night Bus of volunteers and paramedics, just in case anyone is unwell. There are also a drink aware team who you might spot in their “Here to help you” T-shirts. They are especially looking out for the safety of women. Chelmsford is very proud of its Purple Flag status for nighttime safety.
Thank you also to the team of Essex Police specials who were keeping an eye out for everyone.
Dance floors are not yet open so some of the clubs are still silent. Times are still tough for our hospitality businesses but if you fancy a night out with a friend do come to Chelmsford!
