Great news for Chelmsford!
I am delighted that three football projects in Chelmsford are to receive a share of the Government’s latest allocation of £68 Million in capital investment in grassroots sport to deliver upgrades and new facilities across the country.
Congratulations to Uplands Rangers Football Club, Wilvale Rangers Football Club and FC Evolution, based at Moulsham High School, that are each receiving funding for new equipment and upgrades.
This is the latest round of funding as part of a £300 Million investment from the Government to ensure that everyone across the country can have access to high quality sporting facilities, get active and nurture the next generation of sporting talent.
This will help to deliver the huge mental health and wellbeing benefits associated with sport, improving the wellbeing of the nation and helping to cut NHS waiting lists, which is one of the Government’s five priorities.
We deserve access to top quality sporting facilities here in Chelmsford and this funding will continue to help deliver that.
