"A man has been charged as part of an investigation into a series of motor vehicle thefts in #Essex.
Officers arrested a man on Saturday 30 December, after a vehicle failed to stop when requested close to Haversham Way, in #Chelmsford.
Further enquiries carried out led officers to become suspicious of the ownership of the vehicle being driven.
A 19-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and a number of motoring offences.
As the investigation progressed, officers also arrested him in connection with a number of ongoing investigations into thefts of Ford Fiesta and Ecosport models as well as a number Range Rovers.
A man has now been charged and will appear in court today, Monday 1 January."
